Yes I feel very comfortable when taking my doggy here. Pleasant atmosphere sociable n knowledgeable staff. I’m confident in their service. 2 thumbs up 👍 …
I would give 0 stars if i could. Shatto Vet and Dr. Sung specifically are extremely unprofessional. It's become obvious over the years that they only care about profit and the bottom line, not the well-being of your pets. They will continue to upsell services and medications and misdiagnose your pet. I've brought up several concerns over the past few months only for them to say 'It's nothing to worry about.' Some of the positive reviews have been planted by employees. Check yelp for more accurate reviews. Do not take your pets here if you care about there well-being at all.
They have a friendly and knowledgeable staff. They are cordial and helpful. I enjoy the relationship I have with Dr Kim. She diagnoses well and offers alternatives to how my little doggy Joey might be served. If I listed the employees I respect and enjoy, I would surely leave someone out. Thank you
Shatto!
My Lucy was suffering with severe allergies. I called to make an appointment but they were fully booked for few days. But the man who answered my phone call was very nice and considerate to call me back to let me know that there was cancellation. My Lucy got treated and she is much better now. Thank you!!!
my cat caught fleas here and possibly additional parasites that we are still testing for elsewhere. Shatto vet is terrible at communicating including sharing blood test, urinalysis test with me and other vet offices and I am still waiting for them weeks later after multiple visits and calls/attempts to receive them. We prefer Ambassador vet which is a sister hospital under same management that has so far been far more helpful. Shatto vet is not easily reached by phone or email to schedule an appointment and I have experienced extensive difficulties simply getting a call back or scheduling a visit. They appear to be a caring and helpful but in reality are quite the opposite and need to do much better at communicating, diagnosing, billing and more. Overall my experience has been a total nightmare, do not bring your cat or loved pet here under any circumstances.
My recent experience at the vet was profoundly disappointing and unprofessional. The vet's lack of attention and care towards my dog was evident throughout the appointment. What struck me the most was the fact that the vet didn't even touch my dog once during the examination. I went to the vet mainly concerned about my dog's eyes & mark on back/rash on stomach... as those areas appeared unusual to me. However, instead of conducting a thorough examination, the vet merely stood across the room and casually commented that the eyes seemed fine, the rash will be fine if I allow them to give him 2 expensive shots. When I asked for creams/pills for an alternative instead of the expensive shots for the rash, her facial expression made me feel a certain way for not wanting to spend hundreds on something I couldn't afford at the moment. As I expressed to her that my money is tight because I'm dealing with a family death. She still felt no remorse. I just wanted a cheaper alternative. Who expects to pay $800+ on one vet visit? (I was able to get cheaper medication- still not the point)
Furthermore, my dissatisfaction with the veterinary experience is compounded by the fact that the vet completely ignored my dog's stomach rash. Despite my efforts to draw attention to this issue, the vet did not bother to examine or address the rash during the appointment. REMEMBER, she didn't touch him once. My dog shown no aggressiveness either. This level of neglect is not only unprofessional but also concerning, as it indicates a lack of thoroughness and a disregard for the overall health and well-being of my pet.
A responsible and professional vet should have taken the time to assess all aspects of my dog's health that I had expressed concerns about, including the eye condition and the stomach rash.
What added to my frustration was when I asked the vet to review the paperwork I had sent over from my dog's previous vet. I had taken the effort to provide detailed information about my dog's medical history, specifically about the eye condition. To my disbelief, AT FIRST... the vet dismissed my request, stating that the paperwork was too lengthy to review, a mere "8-9 pages long" in her own words. This response made me question why I had bothered to send over the information if it wasn't going to be taken seriously before my appointment started. Later on in the appointment she read the prior vet paperwork & found that in fact he has an eye disease. Which is very visible if she took the time to touch & look.
The lack of hands-on assessment, dismissive attitude towards my concerns, and the failure to engage with the provided medical history collectively left me feeling unheard and frustrated. A fundamental aspect of professionalism in veterinary care is attentive examination and thorough consideration of the patient's history, both of which were severely lacking in this experience.
This vet's approach was far from satisfactory, leaving me with serious doubts about returning for future care. Which is very unfortunate because we live nearby & the reviews seemed great. I expressed my concerns with the front desk while checking out and they told me that she will be leaving in October because she's having a baby. Maybe she stood across the room because she was pregnant? Yet...I still pay full price? I will say everyone else in this office was super nice. Her assistant was sweet, front desk was nice too.
